  • We are seeking a support partner to deliver a new funding programme, exploring how technology can enable new approaches to care in the home and community.
  • We anticipate bids of up to £120,000, inclusive of VAT and expenses.
  • Apply no later than 17.00 on Wednesday 12 April 2023.

The Health Foundation is preparing to launch a new programme developing tech-enabled approaches to care at home and in the community.

With funding and guidance through a structured and supportive innovation process, the programme will initially support up to six teams in health and social care to:

  • understand the future approaches to care that their communities need
  • explore how technology can enable these approaches
  • test and pilot ideas in their real-world context.

By exploring the potential of these approaches for future spread and scale, the programme aims to improve outcomes and experiences for those delivering and receiving care.

See these slides for more detail on initial thinking for the programme.

The role of the support partner

We are looking to appoint a collaborative and flexible support partner who will work with us to deliver the programme from June to December 2023 (with potential to extend to March 2025).

The support partner’s role will be to:

  1. support the Health Foundation to refine how each stage of the programme will operate
  2. develop and deliver activities and support offers for funded teams at each phase of the programme, providing practical support to develop their ideas, skills, advice, expertise and building capacity
  3. support ongoing learning and reflection about the programme approach, helping to inform and implement iterative changes to its design over time.

The appointed partner will support teams to explore, progress and refine their ideas. They will bring understanding on the role of technology and health tech markets, local system complexity, and what it takes to develop a care approach that has future potential to scale.
