  • We are seeking an analytical partner to support our wider determinants of health evidence hub.
  • The partner will further develop and regularly update the core content of the evidence hub website.
  • We anticipate bids of up to a maximum of £100,000 (inclusive of VAT and expenses) a year, with the contract initially being for three years.
  • The deadline for responses is 12.00 (midday) on Wednesday 18 August 2021.

The What drives health inequalities? evidence hub is our recently established online resource which provides data analysis, visualisation and interpretation to build an understanding of how social and economic conditions influence health. It sets out recent social and economic trends and outcomes to provide an assessment of the current state of play of the wider determinants of health in the UK.

Our aim is for the evidence hub to provide a timely, credible, informed and well-evidenced resource about health, health inequalities and the wider determinants of health.

Analytical partner for the evidence hub

We are looking to appoint an analytical partner to further develop the content on the evidence hub website, working closely with our Healthy Lives analysis team. The partner will ensure that the analysis is kept up to date, and that the interpretation reflects the latest trends and new emerging issues. The successful partner will also scope out and produce analysis in other areas, and/or produce more detailed analysis of interest in existing areas.

There are currently 64 indicators on the evidence hub website that the successful provider will need to update at different frequencies throughout the year. We anticipate that during the first year of the partnership, the successful applicant will scope out and develop three to four new rounds of content, each consisting of around 15 to 20 indicator pages.

Our aim to build a long-term partnership with the successful organisation. The contract will initially be for 36 months, with a review every 12 months. The intention is to extend the project beyond the initial 36 months, if successful.

Applicants must have a strong track record of data analysis, and knowledge and expertise in the use of high-quality data sources related to the social and economic factors that influence health.
