Carrie Hume Head of Collaboration for Wellbeing and Health

Carrie Heads up the Collaboration for Wellbeing and Health, and the team aligned to this strategic project funded by the Health Foundation. The initiative directly contributes to the objectives of the Healthy Lives work of the Health Foundation, but is situated within the Communications team.
Carrie provides the overall leadership for the collaborative work, working closely with members and other stakeholders (including the Health Foundation), ensuring the overall campaign strategy ultimately will have impact in addressing health inequalities.
Carrie is an experienced environmental campaigner who has headed up the campaigns, policy and public affairs functions for national charities including the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and Brain Tumour Research. She also spent time as Director or Campaigns at the Marine Conversation Society. She most recently worked for Friends of the Earth, where she was Head of Campaign Delivery and also directly delivered political campaigning to address pesticide and plastic pollution.
Carrie has a degree in Environmental Biology and a Masters degree by Research in Ecology and Environmental Management.
