Health Anchors Learning Network Annual Gathering 2021 

The Annual Gathering aims to bring together around 500 colleagues from health organisations, local authorities or other public agencies, voluntary and community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector with policymakers, senior managers and international experts. We will be creating opportunities to reflect on and learn about the pressing issues facing health and social care, and bridge the gap between evidence, action, policy and delivery. New analysis from the Health Foundation reveals the 'devastating' scale of loss in the pandemic, with UK response ‘falling short in key areas’. Read the news story.

Care home residents hard hit by reduced hospital care

Health Foundation research provides the first comprehensive and national analysis of all hospital care provided to care home residents during the first wave of the pandemic. Our findings appear to substantiate concerns that those in care homes were particularly hard hit by reductions in hospital services. Read the news story

Artificial Intelligence and Racial and Ethnic Inequalities in Health and Care call 

This call supports research to advance AI and data-driven technologies in health in ways that better meet the needs of minority ethnic populations. The call is jointly funded by NHSX’s NHS AI Lab and the Health Foundation and enabled by the NIHR. Deadline for applications is 13.00 on Wednesday 21 April 2021. More about the call.

ITT: Learning support provider for the Economies for Healthier Lives programme

Florence Nightingale Award for Excellence in Healthcare Data Analytics  

The annual Florence Nightingale Award for Excellence in Healthcare Data Analytics 2021 (awarded jointly by the Health Foundation and the Royal Statistical Society) is open. It recognises applied health care and data analytics practitioners who have gone above and beyond in delivering innovative improvement for the health care system. Deadline for entries is 12 April 2021. Apply now
