Caitríona Callan NHS Chief Sustainability Officer's Clinical Fellow

Caitríona is hosted at the Health Foundation as the 2023/24 NHS Chief Sustainability Officer's Research Fellow.

She works mainly on projects relating to the environmental sustainability of health and care. 

Caitríona comes to this fellowship from GP training and an Academic Clinical Fellowship at the University of Oxford, where her research focused on preventative healthcare. She has also  contributed to health policy work on inequalities in palliative care with the NHS England Palliative and End of Life Care team, and is a co-organiser of the national Greener Practice forum for GP trainees interested in environmental sustainability. 

Caitríona did her medical training at the University of Cambridge, graduating with distinction in Final MB I and II.
